The AI-Assisted Product Manager

How I Currently Use AI as a Product Manager Focused on AI-Assisted Workflows

How I Use AI Every Day as a Product Manager

V0, Lovable, Figma Make, Cursor... Isn't it a great time to be building products?

For anyone needing to prototype, enhance, or even launch a website or app — what used to take months can now take minutes or days with the so-called "vibe coding.”

It’s amazing how someone who’s design-oriented can now create start-to-finish projects. Vercel's v0 helped me create a portfolio website in no time. Lovable helped me prototype a greenfield app for a client. Figma Make helped me enhance an app design. Cursor seems like a great tool for someone with more of a developer background. And all these tools can make the journey and learning process more inspiring, as you get to play around with concrete outcomes and enjoy the support of an LLM-based chat.

How I Started

Suddenly, prototypes — if needed — are created in seconds using just one tool like v0 or Lovable. When I first started with them, I was so accustomed to using Google Gemini and ChatGPT that I created my first prototype prompts with those. It was a bit of a clunkier process, but it helped me transition smoothly to these new tools. One benefit is that you can build a prompt in correspondence with a tool that doesn’t immediately jump to create UI.

While vibe-coding products still comes with concerns — especially around security and handling personally identifiable information — much of that will likely be resolved soon. There seems to be a lot of trust: for example, just eight months after its launch, in summer 2025, Lovable raised a $200 million Series A round.

More And More Can Be Done With AI

I’m excited about the opportunities of AI as a product professional, but also as a private person (I just really hope Skynet won’t become self-aware and destroy the world). I'm already heavily AI-assisted across product management — like research, ideation, and specification — and design — like user journeys and design system creation. But during those long nights building in the current, AI-assisted way, I can't help but wonder: how much of my current workflow will feel like a wasted effort once AI-native tools mature? Maybe next year, AI will create a design system from a single prompt.

What do you think?

If this is all new to you, check out lovable.dev or Vercel’s v0 — just a prompt, and in minutes, you've got the V1 of your website or product. (I'm not affiliated.)
